We have purchased a new 3D printer in school using some of our Enterprise money. We are keen for the children to begin to use it and to make some products to sell. Year 5 will be the first year group to have a chance to use the printer and software as part of an after school activity.
The 3D computing afterschool club will start on Monday the 7th of March and this will run for 4 weeks ending on the 28th March. The sessions will start after school and finish at 4.10 pm. The children will have the opportunity to explore how 3D printers work and how this technology is used in the workplace. In addition to this, the children will use design software before printing their design using the 3D printer.
