It is with great sadness that I have to let you know that Julie Mott, our Vice Chair of Governors, has sadly died. Julie died on Saturday of Covid-19.
Julie was an absolute treasure. She championed the voice of SEN children and vulnerable families. Education was her absolute passion so after retiring as Headteacher of Newman Special School she became a governor for our school. She was always willing to lend a hand, challenge ideas and provide advice to anyone in need. She was a kind lady who supported so many staff members. Julie encouraged everyone to work hard and to fulfill their dreams but also to make time for their families and cherish the loved ones around them.
We will always remember Julie’s positivity, energy and tremendous capacity for kindness. We will remember her fabulous laugh and spirit of enquiry: she loved learning and this came through to anyone that she met.
Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends during this difficult time.
